The researchers from Graz University of Technology are leaders in microbiome analyses and biocontrol of plant as well as human pathogens; their comprehensive experience in developing plant protection products on the basis of bacteria antagonistic to fungal plant pathogens is expected to be very useful for the success of the Excalibur project. They will be mainly involved in the setup of novel bioinocula (WP2), the assessment of microbial diversity and dynamics (WP1, WP4) and on the understanding the molecular mechanisms of plant-microbe interactions after bioinocula treatments (WP5).
