The University of Copenhagen is one of the largest institutions of research and education in the Nordic countries. Researchers from the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences (PLEN) involved in the project are mainly focused on understanding the ecology and biological interactions of entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) in horticultural systems covering topics of insect pathology, biological control, host-pathogen interactions and plant-microbe- insect interactions. They will be involved in the development of fungal-based bioinocula (WP2) and evaluation of fungal diversity and function as well as fungi-host interactions and their associated effects (WP3). Moreover, they will host strawberry field trials (WP1, WP3).
